Prof Tiffany Jones was an invited attendee at the 2024 ARC Policy Review of the National Competitive Grants Program Consultation held 30.4.24 in Sydney, and contributed ideas with the help of a team of contributors for the grants program including especially the prepared grant or process modelling ideas and experiential insights of: Prof Louise D'Arcens (Dep Dean Arts, FAHA), Dr Diana Tan (ECR/ experienced applicant), Dr Shirley Wyver (experienced in ARC assessing/granting/applications etc.) and other Macquarie University staff including contributing members of the School of Education Research Committee and School of Education Meeting for example. Topics covered in the April review session which this team contributed prepared comments to included: 'Purpose and impact of ARC research grants'; 'Program structure and design'; Supporting a strong and diverse research sector'; 'Supporting Indigenous Australian research and researchers'; 'Aligning with other government research funding programs'; and 'Supporting national priorities'.
