Description
The 6th Australasian Egyptology Conference aimed to promote recent research in archaeology and Egyptology, to share ideas, and to encourage networking. The academic program was a hybrid event over three days from 9–11 June 2022. It included presentations from keynote speakers as well as from Australasian and international academics and students. The papers covered an array of themes, including archaeological discoveries, scientific analysis, cultural memory, gender studies, philology, iconography, and the life and times of the boy King Tutankhamun.This 3-day Conference was followed on 12 June by a one-day in-person event of special lectures focusing on The Life and Times of Tutankhamun. The lectures were presented by Gale Visiting Fellows, Drs Dimitri Laboury, Simon Connor, and Anna Stevens.
