Description
With many international students choosing to undertake diploma-level pathway programs in Australia, there is a need for embedding engaging, discipline-specific academic literacy courses to support these students’ successful transition into their chosen discourse communities. However, this kind of course can present challenges in that students may have considerably varied levels of English language proficiency, and the number of contact hours could be significantly fewer than traditional intensive direct entry academic English programs.
