Description
Comic Art Workshop is a grassroots biennial artists-in-residence program for graphic storytellers. The program provides emerging artists in Australia and beyond with an opportunity to work alongside some of the world’s best cartoonists and comics educators. The major outcome we work towards is the incubation and development of ambitious Australian stories.
Every two years, we bring talented cartoonists together to focus on their ambitious projects in an immersive two-week long workshop setting. Each cartoonist gets an allocated time to have their work critiqued by the brains trust present, with the aim to build a better comic.
In 2021-2022, I was invited to be the head of the selection committee for Comic Art Workshop, shortlisting and selecting the residency authors.
