Community language schools are more than not just schools. The last two years have been tough, but we all learned that languages play important roles in supporting communities and people through challenges. The community language sector has stepped up as the key communication partner so important education, health, social and economic information is heard by the government and the community members. Community language teachers and leaders are powerful social agents in the last two years. We are likely to face other uncertainties in the future, and we need to be prepared. In this talk, I will discuss strategies to empower community language teachers and school leaders as professional and agents of social change to help transform and shape a better and stronger future for all.
