    Creating space to play when working with literary texts create rich possibilities for classroom learning. Exploring texts that challenge conventions, offer hybridity and employ innovative use of literary techniques is a central to creating high expectation, high cognitive challenge learning experiences. This workshop shows how the 'evocative vignette' (Dutton & Rushton, 2019) strategy can be utilised when teaching about representation in spoken, written, visual and multimodal texts.
