Activity: Participating in or organising an eventParticipating in a conference, workshop, ...

Description

The dual aim of the meeting is to fabricate conducive conditions whereby scholars who know something of the histories, institutions, and social worlds of either Indonesia or Turkey are enabled to discuss, explore, reflect upon, and perhaps even discover new knowledge concerning similarities and differences between them. More specifically, we hope, too, to prove the value of comparative research to produce fresh insights into relations between Islam and society in each place, and to discuss ways in which possible interdisciplinary study might proceed.
