Description

Subject: Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Activism Workshop (26 July) Further Details

Dear All,
Thank you for your interest in attending the workshop on Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Activism on Thursday 26 July. We are delighted to have received abstracts from across the Faculty of Arts, with broad and varied interests in activism. We look forward to having the opportunity to explore experiences and understandings of activism, as well as developing collaborative opportunities.
We plan for the day to be interactive. However, we would like to ask all participants to provide a PPT before the workshop (by Monday 23 July) with 3 slides only. We plan to circulate this information to workshop participants on the day, and it will also be used as a backdrop to our discussions.
Please tell us:
1) Tell us more about who you are.
2) What are you currently researching?
3) Why are you interested in activism and what do you hope to research in relation to activism?
Schedule for the day:
9:30-9:45 Welcome to the Workshop
9:45- 11:15 Experiences and Understandings of (Researching) Activism
11:15-11:45 Refreshments
11:45-1:30 Exploring common themes, interests and opportunities for collaboration
1:30-2.30 Lunch
Venue:
The workshop will take place at 75TR 3114 Continuum Meeting Room, 75 Talavera Road.
Please see attached a campus map with the meeting room for your reference.
Please could you let us know of any dietary preferences by Monday 23 July at the latest. If you are no longer able to make it, please also let us know.
We look forward to seeing you on the 26 July and to exploring ways in which we can develop a research network on activism.
Warm regards,
Amy & Sara
