International scientific conference: "Culture in the Historical Archive of the Greek newspapers "TO VIMA" and "TA NEA"

Description

The pioneering international scientific conference, organized by two of the most historic newspapers in the Greek press, "TO VIMA" and "TA NEA" and the department of their Historical Archive, took place on the 5th and 6th of December 2022 at the Faros of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) under the auspices of the General Secretariat of Hellenism Abroad and Public Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The focus of the conference was the Greek language and Greek literature, the digital Historical Archive of the newspapers "TO VIMA" and "TA NEA" (1922-2022), which includes all the articles of these two newspapers from February 6, 1922, the day of the first publication of the "ELEFTHERON BIMA" newspaper, until today.
