It argued that metalanguage, the ability to talk about and reflect on language, plays a crucial role in shaping how learners engage with AI tools. When students possess this awareness, their use of AI becomes more strategic, reflective, and goal-oriented. Rather than passively receiving answers, learners actively use AI as a partner to support their thinking and learning processes.
