Description
The rise of generative AI tools has led educators to rethink traditional methods of teaching and assessing language skills. This presentation explores innovative strategies designed to enhance students’ AI literacy and critical thinking abilities by integrating metalanguage criteria into rubrics and assessment tasks. In the context of learning Modern Greek, metalanguage becomes essential when learners are required to justify the correctness of their responses. Aligning with the idea that assessment tasks should promote critical thinking and provide meaningful feedback (Assessment Reform for The Age of Artificial Intelligence, 2023), Modern Greek language assessment rubrics have been updated to explicitly include metalanguage criteria (Harun et al., 2017).Period | 7 Dec 2024 |
