    Description

    Professor Ioannis Galantomos was a visiting scholar to the Department of Media, Communications, Creative Arts, Language and Literature at Macquarie University within the framework of the scholarships granted by the Greek State Scholarships Foundation. During his visit we visited the Greek Orthodox school of St Spyridon in Maroubra. The title of his presentation was: Teaching figurative vocabulary to second language learners of Greek language: Theory and practice. Teaching methodologies that engage and motivate students, HSC language units, the Greek language education curriculum, and the use of AI were at the centre of our discussions.
