Invited as an intervention expert to the 1st Stroke Recovery and Rehabilitation Roundtable – Advancing the field of stroke research. Building evidence-based treatments for rehabilitation is now recognised as a major global priority and this requires a coordinated effort at national and international levels. Approximately 60 leading stroke experts met at the first Stroke Recovery and Rehabilitation Roundtable (SRRR) in Philadelphia, USA, in 8-9 May 2019. The goal of SRRR was to work globally to achieve consensus on four key areas to help drive improvements in research and pathways for implementation of evidence into practice. The four Key areas are
1) Biomarkers for recovery 2) Measurement in trials 3) Translating evidence into human trials 4) Intervention standards
