Description

The hands-on workshop, held in the state-of-the-art biomechanics laboratory at Macquarie University, will provide participants with practical experience in motion-capture–based gait analysis. Attendees will be guided through the full laboratory workflow, beginning with an introduction to the motion capture system and progressing to system preparation and participant setup. The session will include supervised data collection, allowing participants to observe how walking and running trials are captured in a sophisticated multi-camera environment. Participants will also explore basic real-time gait evaluation, gaining insight into how raw data are visualised, interpreted, and used to support clinical and research decision-making. This immersive workshop is designed to complement the webinar by bridging theoretical understanding with real-world technical and practical skills in gait analysis.
