Description

This presentation provides a framework for promoting mathematics learning through patterns and structures that promote a spatial approach across all strands of the mathematics curriculum. The Pattern and Structure Assessment interview (PASA) and the Pattern and Structure Mathematics Awareness Program (PASMAP) K-3 involve students in modelling, representing, visualising, explaining and generalising. A spatial reasoning mathematics program develops these processes further for student in K-6.
