This was an invited workshop from the Geography and History Teachers Association of the Northern Territory. This workshop is an outcome of my thesis findings and uses a recurring question 'What makes my geography lesson geographical?' to explore the distinctive core of geography, the GEOGStandards and what this means for pedagogical practice in the classroom.
