2SER interview on Houda Abouz

    Press/Media: Expert Comment

    Description

Houda Abouz a Moroccan female rapper was featured in the song Hors Serie featuring three prominent Moroccan male rappers. The video currently has close to 16.5 million views. However, despite the popularity, Houda, in her interview with SBS discusses how most of her listeners are male and how she longs for a day where the term ‘female movement’ is no longer used and rappers can be seen as human beings not male or female rappers. She warns of categorization of women being a concern but is urging women to stand up and challenge the labels placed on them.
