3MT (Three Minute Thesis) Success!

Arts Faculty 3MT (three minutes PhD thesis) Presentation Competition was held on 10 September 2019.

Two Law School PhD candidates, Adam Johnston supervised by Dr Francesca Dominello and Danielle Moon supervised by Carolyn Adams, participated in the competition. Danielle Moon won (jointly) the competition, Danielle would soon be competing at the University Round. Adam’s presentation was very compelling, particularly his display of a cartoon picture reflecting his thesis arguments but unfortunately did not secure a place due to tough competition. We are proud of their performance and encourage other PhD candidates to compete in the next year-round.

On behalf of Macquarie Law School, we congratulate both participants and their supervisors and wish the very best for Danielle in the University Round.

Sex and Consent in the Age of #Metoo Workshop

When: 6-7 November 2019

This workshop brings together academic, government and NGO service-provider professionals to critically reflect on the state of affairs of the regulation of sexual conduct by the criminal and civil law, and the role of civil society in informing the governance of ethical sexual practices.
