Title PM seeks social media ban for under 16s Media name/outlet ABC Listen Country/Territory Australia Date 7/11/24 Description Social media giants have raised an alarm over the Government's proposal to ban children from their platforms, saying it could end up pushing children towards darker and unregulated corners of the internet.
The Prime Minister says he wants to set a minimum age of sixteen for social media, with the onus on the platforms to ensure no-one under that age can use their sites or apps.
