DescriptionMacquarie University Senior Finance Lecturer Lurion De Mello says Australian diesel stocks are quite healthy, signifying a shift in price. “Our diesel stocks are quite healthy … a dramatic shift,” Mr De Mello told Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood. “Because the demand for diesel is inelastic, the cost of producing diesel is quite intense, the profit margin on diesel tends to be a bit higher than petrol … I’m expecting more diesel to come to our shores.”
