End of Life - Dying to Know Day

Press/Media: Public Engagement Activities

Description

A series of Event Cinema screenings across Queensland, as detailed above.

Subject

In advanced European, and European settler-colonial societies, the subject of death has been banished to the edges of social consciousness and is seen as a 'rupture' from life, rather than an integral and definining part of life. These screenings and panel discussions, concentrating on, and provoked by, a screening of 'Love in Our Own Time' seek to begin a conversation around the subject of death.
