International Collaboration with IPB University, Indonesia

On June 14, 2023, the Education and Cultural Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Canberra facilitated a collaboration between IPB University’s Graduate Program in Management (Indonesia) and MQBS-Macquarie Business School. During a visit to Macquarie University, both institutions discussed partnerships to enhance teaching and research quality. Indonesian officials highlighted government-supported initiatives such as the World Class Professor, double degree, and mobility programs. Macquarie representatives welcomed stronger ties with Indonesia, noting benefits for students. IPB delegates emphasized Australia’s proximity and student interest. Planned follow-ups include guest lectures by Macquarie academics at IPB, student participation in a sustainable agrifood summer course, and curriculum mapping to support future joint educational and research activities. 

During the visit, the IPB delegates were received by Prof Steven Grover, the Head of the Department of Management, along with Prof Robert Jack, the Course Director for The Master of Management, and Dr Salut Muhidin, a Senior Lecturer at Macquarie University.
