Consumers will be disappointed that criminal action is not proceeding, following the shocking revelations at the Hayne Royal Commission in 2018. ASIC provided a brief of evidence to the Commonwealth Dept of Public Prosecutions but the CDPP has decided not to proceed. ASIC is not commenting. Some of the legal reforms recommended by Hayne have still not been legislated.
