Press/Media: Public Engagement Activities

Each year, The Australian Financial Review Women of Influence awards recognise the most influential, inspirational and visionary women. The list encompasses ten categories, with the aim of identifying a diverse group of women championing change in business and society. Prof Taksa has translated her research on gendered workplace cultures, women’s and migrant employment, equity and diversity management, and the management of education through publications, external appointments and support for public and not-for-profit organisations. She established the Centre for Workforce Futures at Macquarie Business School in 2011, leading its diversity, employment and organisation pillar and its gender, diversity and inclusion key research theme and became its co-director in 2018. Prof Taksa’s current research focuses on migrant ageing and well-being, conscious and unconscious bias, identity negotiations and representations of women leaders.
