In "In Conversation" we hear about a literary audio project that transcends space and time. It is an adaptation of a diary by the German thinker, philosopher and writer Günther Anders, which he wrote in exile in Hollywood in 1941.

 

Cultural scholars Chris Müller of Macquarie University, Ben Nickl of Sydney University and actor Edgar Eckerd have made good use of Corona time to bring us this work, called Real is not Real Enough. They translated the original into English and Edgar Eckert then presented it for a multi-part podcast with a German accent. With the help of the Goethe Institute and other collaborators, they have found new ways to convey the text of a difficult time with humour in such a way that it can be understood by everyone, even in its profundity. The readings are available on the internet and on the website of the Goethe Institut and are discussed here in three parts.
