Description
The historical and biographical inscription in the Middle Kingdom tomb of Ameny/Amenemhat in Beni Hassan reports on expeditions to Kush ('Upper Nubia') and Gbtw (Coptos), not as a town bus as a region in the eastern desert. The term Gbtw as a 'relative place-name' is documented, the role of classifiers in the writing of this toponym is discussed.
