Description

In the scenes on funerary monuments of the Old and Middle Kingdom, one of the staples on the offering table is the bread of the funerary meals. The changing shape of bread loaves, the bread moulds and different types of breads, as well as the classification systems of Cherpion and Barta are assessed critically.
