Brief survey of the practice of circumcision from the Late Predynastic to the NK. The scene from the OK tomb of Ankhmahor is discussed. Further, she deals with the social status of the circumcised, the hieroglyphic terminology, the age of circumcision, the question of a group or individual ceremony, the surgical practice of the dorsal slit as concurrent with true circumcision, and the surgeon and medical techniques.
