Description

Report on the 5th season of excavations at Ismant el-Kharab, ancient Kellis, in the Dakhleh oasis, conducted in Jan/Feb 1992. The clearance of House 3 in the domestic quarter, Area A, was completed and ontra-temple. A painted chapel, Shrine I, yielded many new figures of gods. In an appendix, Gill Bowen describes the coinage found at Ismant el-Kharab. (OEB)
