Description
This dataset has been collected using Delphi Methodology. Expert history teachers responded to three questionnaires with the aim of building consensus among the group. The Round 1 questionnaire was developed based on a review of extant literature and interviews with n=9 experts who had been identified by the researchers as possessing expertise of relevance to the project. Round 2 included items from Round 1 where there was not clear consensus: at least one participant disagreeing with the statement or a mean less than 4 when ‘Strongly Agree’=5 to ‘Strongly Disagree’=1. The Round 2 also included new items based on the open-ended suggestions made by participants in Round 1.Round 3 included several new items, but dropped items where consensus had been met in Round 2, defined as an item having a median ≥4 (of 5) and IQR ≤1; or ≥70% of participants (n=21) indicating that they ‘Agree’ or ‘Strongly Agree’. Items with a median ≤2 or <40% of participants (n=12) in agreement were dropped. All aspects of the project have been approved by the Arts Subcommittee of Macquarie University’s Human Research Ethics Committee (Project ID: 17496). Participants have provided informed written consent to participate in the study. Participants have been de-identified and assigned a random 5-digit number within the dataset. Screening questions related to participants’ qualifications and professional experience from the first questionnaire that could potentially make participants re-identifiable have been removed.
