Description
Mo'alla, the necropolis of the 3rd Upper Egyptian nome, on the east bank of the Nile 40 km south of Luxor, is known for the tomb of Ankhtify from the First Intermediate Period. The paper reports on three newly excavated tombs in its vicinity. Based on the fragments of the wall decoration and the funerary equipment found, it is possible to establish that they date date from the late Old Kingdom into the First Intermediate Period.
