In 2018, MQBS commenced a strategic initiative that aimed to develop a fully online, high-quality MBA that would prepare graduates for the Future of Work. The Global MBA was developed with industry leaders and delivered through the international online learning platform Coursera. Who or what has benefitted The Global MBA is an innovative, high quality, flexible as well as affordable program that is available to learners across the world and has expanded Macquarie's global footprint. It is in the early stages of demonstrating impact. In the first year of its launch, more than 125 learners from across the globe joined the degree, and thousands of learners enrolled in the open courses on Coursera. 
The extent of the impact
The Global MBA has attracted business leaders from a variety of backgrounds to its Advisory Board and further created partnerships with leading companies such as SAS, Russell Reynolds, Med Tech and Mums & Co. The impact of the project is evidenced through significant media exposure, high course ratings on a globally competitive platform, industry partnerships, and high profile industry advisory board. Most recently, the Global MBA course Be Sustainable was recognized by the Financial Times. International footprint Macquarie is the first university in the Asia-Pacific region to offer a degree on the Coursera platform. The high ratings of the open courses place Macquarie first among the 170+ world-leading universities on the Coursera platform which has a global reach of 44+ million learners.
