Personal profile

Biography

I have taught TESOL and Applied Linguistics subjects at Macquarie University since 2015 and elsewhere since 2011. I have been an active ESL teacher since 2003 and have taught in various teaching contexts both in Australia and overseas. This includes teaching young learners, adult migrants, corporate English language training and university direct entry courses, to mention a few. I have also been active in the field of language testing and in the past worked both as an language examiner and a test item writer.

Research interests

My PhD topic explores the media representation of international students’ English language proficiency and multilingualism in the Australian higher education context. My wider research interest includes (blended) curriculum design, intercultural communication, and the internationalization of higher education.
