Personal profile

Biography

I'm a Research Fellow and Consumer Engagement Manager working across Macquarie University's eCentreClinic and MQ Health's MindSpot, two digital mental health services leading the development, evaluation and delivery of world-class online psychological treatments for a range of mental health and physical health conditions.

My program of work focuses on consumer decision-making about uptake and engagement with self-directed and therapist-guided online treatment for mental health. I use qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-design research methods to explore key stakeholder perspectives, priorities and needs. I then use these insights to inform the development and evaluation of targeted information and decision-support resources, and person-centred service delivery.

More broadly, my research interests are in  enhancing our understanding and delivery of evidence-based best practice in mental health care consistent with individual preferences, needs, and life circumstances.

Research interests

Shared decision-making; patient decision aids; depression; anxiety, bipolar disorder; co-occurring alcohol/other drug use conditions; digital/e-health interventions; co-design; consumer involvement in research; qualitative research; mixed-methods research.
