Biography
Ali Ghari Zadeh is a Mechanical Engineer who joined the Australian Astronomical Optics (AAO) in September 2023. Prior to his appointment at AAO, he served for eight years at Western Sydney University as a Technical Officer and later Senior Technical Officer, where he managed mechanical, structural, and fluid mechanics laboratories supporting both research and teaching activities.
He has over 17 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering both in academia and industry. He received his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Iran, in 2008. He got his Master of Engineering (MEng) in 2014 from University of Technology, Sydney (UTS), Australia, with full scholarship award covering the studies. He is the author or co-author of six publications in the areas of Mechanical design, Fracture mechanics, vibration analysis, damage detection and health monitoring of structures.
