Biography
Aliza Salvador is a doctoral candidate in the School of Education at Macquarie University, deeply committed to inclusion, advocacy and social justice. She completed a master’s research degree in 2017, which sparked her interest in investigating representations of diversity in children’s popular media. Currently, her research focuses on empowering educators to harness the transformative power of critical pedagogy and anti-ableist teaching within their classrooms.
Aliza has a decade of teaching experience in undergraduate and postgraduate early childhood education, and primary education, programs. She also has extensive experience teaching young children in early childhood education and primary school contexts. Through her teaching and research, Aliza aims to promote greater inclusion and equity in educational settings and beyond.
