Biography

Dr Amanda Head is a Lecturer at Macquarie Law School. She completed a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Laws (1st class Hons). Amanda completed her PhD at Macquarie University on the topic of the legal recognition of non-marital relationships in the areas of family law and succession law. Prior to joining Macquarie Law School, Amanda was a solicitor in private practice specialising in family law. Amanda is also a certified practising accountant.

Amanda's research specialisation is in the areas of family law and succession law and, in particular, questions of rights and obligations of parties to non-marital relationships under the legislative regimes. Amanda is available to supervise HDR theses in the areas of family law and succession law.
