Biography

Growing in an industrial and polluted mid-sized city was an opportunity to observe the very real impact of poor environmental management on health and well-being of people, and a growing challenge of desertification. As result of that I became motivated and committed to search for solutions for complex environmental issues and therefore to facilitate innovation by learning, using and creating effective advanced-technologies through a Ph.D. in the field of Environmental Sciences.

I previously worked on different aspect of soil contamination and remediation and my current research focuses on a way to determine whether or not the environment near mines are impacted by looking for expression of the contaminants in the genes of the biota using environmental DNA (eDNA).

Also, I interested to work with others and try to find a better solution to solve environmental issues in order to make a better future for next generations.
