    Biography

    Asha Heydon-White is a senior lymphoedema therapist and Clinic Co-team Leader in the MQ Health Lymphoedema Clinic, the treatment arm of the Australian Lymphoedema Education, Research and Treatment (ALERT) Centre at Macquarie University. Asha joined the ALERT Centre in 2016 and has been heavily involved in the development of the MQ Health Lymphoedema Clinic, working across all specialist clinics, including the conservative, diagnostic, surgical and lipoedema clinics. In her role, Asha is also actively involved in lymphoedema research and is a Conjoint Associate Lecturer at Macquarie University and member of the Australasian Lymphology Association.

    Asha completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland, Australia in 2004. She has been working in the areas of oncology and lymphoedema since 2008. Asha has developed a particular interest in breast cancer-related lymphoedema which has influenced both her clinical and research focus. She has undertaken further training to enhance her clinical practice in areas including; indocyanine green (ICG) lymphography, shoulder rehabilitation, management of the myofascial system and cancer survivorship. In 2020, Asha completed a Master of Research at Macquarie University, Australia investigating the role of ICG in the assessment of breast lymphoedema.
