Biography

Barbara is a PhD student in the School of Education and the Department of Linguistics. Drawing on her established career in teaching English language to adult learners (ELT/TESOL), her research interest is in the area of teacher and leader professional development. Her particular focus is on middle-level leadership in adult ELT: what middle-level leaders in the sector do, and how they can best be prepared, developed and supported.
