Dr. Ben Scott is an interdisciplinary academic whose work sits at the intersection of technology, security, and global strategic challenges. He holds degrees in biomedicine, neuroscience, computer science, and cyber security. He completed a PhD in Cyber Security at Australia's International Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence, Edith Cowan University (ECU), as a fully funded Cyber Security Cooperative Research Centre (CSCRC) Scholar.

Dr Scott’s teaching focuses on making cyber security and technology concepts accessible to students from diverse disciplinary backgrounds, treating cyber phenomena not only as technical problems but as strategic challenges that require conceptual understanding, critical analysis, and engagement with real-world security, intelligence, and policy environments.

His research interests include cyber and information operations, anomaly detection and security analytics, cybersecurity pedagogy, digital forensics, and the role of artificial intelligence in shaping contemporary conflict and influence. Dr Scott has extensive experience working in South Asian and South-East Asian regions and is an Australia Vietnam Policy Institute (AVPI) Fellow. He maintains active engagement with government, industry, and professional communities.
