Dr Carol Au is a Research Officer in the Dementia Research Centre at Macquarie University. 

Research interests

Dr Au is currently working on projects lead by Prof Lars Ittner and Assoc Prof Yazi Ke on neurodegenerative diseases (e.g. Motor Neuron Disease, Frontotemporal Dementia, Alzheimer's Disease).  

Her research focuses on the use of tissue culture model systems to decipher the molecular pathomechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases and to test new drug treatments.
