Biography
My PhD focused on investigating strategies of genetic biocontrol of invasive vertebrates. This involved the generation and testing of several CRISPR/Cas-based gene drives in mice. Further research during my PhD involved the development of all-in-one plasmids for CRISPR genome editing.
Research interests
My current research continues in the field of genetic biocontrol of invasive vertebrates, moving over to zebrafish as a model organism. Here I am working on engineered genetic incompatibilities (EGIs), a method of synthetic speciation.
