Daniel Tan is currently a PhD student in the Dementia Research Centre and Genome Editing at Macquarie (GEM). He graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree and a Diploma in Molecular Biotechnology from Nanyang Polytechnic (Singapore). During the course of his education, he was involved in several research projects in Nanyang Polytechnics’s School of Life Sciences and in the University of New South Wales’s School of Medical Sciences. He was also attached to the National Institute of Health in the United States of America to conduct medical research.

- Investigating the pathomechanisms of FoxG1 syndrome

- Genome editing in mice

- Protein-protein interactions 

- Characterization of disease models
