Biography
I am a Professor of Respiratory Science at Macquarie University (Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences, Department of Biomedical Sciences), based at the Respiratory Technology Group at the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research. I am a past NHMRC Investigator (Leadership Level 2, 2020–2024) and a past ARC Future Fellow (FT120100216). I also serve as Chief Scientific Officer of Ab Initio Pharma and NSW-RRTN Director for RNA Delievry program, supporting the translation of inhalation-based therapeutics.
I have over 25 years of experience in inhalation drug development, with a focus on particle engineering, aerosol science, and drug delivery. I completed my PhD in Pharmaceutics in 2005 and have led independent research programs at the University of Sydney (2005–2021) and at Macquarie University since 2021.
