Research engagement

David's current project: 'Teaching and Learning History in the Information Age' is seeking to build a consensus from experienced history teachers about the realities of what teaching historical thinking looks like in their classrooms. Furthermore, the project will build a consensus about the way that on-demand access to the internet is shaping the teaching and learning of historical thinking skills. The project will focus on both historical information, as well as information processing technologies, including Generative AI.

The second phase of the project will develop and test a protocol to guide history teachers.
