Biography
Honorary Professor Diane Hughes is a researcher and educator in Vocal Studies, Music and the Creative Industries more broadly. Her research areas are centred on the voice and industry practices, and include singing, vocal pedagogy, creativity, recording, songwriting, and popular music and song. She is committed to broadening understanding of singing and voice. She is a former Discipline Chair of Creative Arts at Macquarie University.
Research interests
Research interests include vocal artistry, vocal pedagogy, contemporary singing, recording and producing, performance, songwriting, creativity, industry practices and popular culture musics.
