Biography
Elisa completed a science degree in 2008 and went on to work with Douglass Hanly Moir as a pathology collector. Her science background and venepuncture experience made her the right fit for Biobanking. Elisa worked as a Biobank Officer at the Melanoma Institute Australia before coming across to Macquarie.
Elisa commenced her role as Biobank Technician of the Neurodegenerative Disease Biobank in 2016. Elisa’s role encompasses the physical collection of samples from Biobank participants, processing of samples (including fractioning, DNA & RNA extraction and storing), and hand over of samples to be used in research projects.
