Biography

Emma is an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) in the Department of Management in Macqaurie University Business School, and she is the MQBS ECR Department of Management representative. She is also a member of the Macquarie Business School Health & Wellbeing Unit (HoWRU) and a member of the Macquarie University Performance and Expertise Research Centre.

Emma received her Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology and Management from the KU Leuven, Belgium, in 2023. Before that, she completed a Research Master's degree from the VU University in Amsterdam and a Master's degree in Social and Organizational Psychology from Utrecht University in the Netherlands. In 2022, she was a visiting scholar in the Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati in the USA. 

As an ECR, she has been granted the Early Career Rersearcher Support Scheme award in 2024 for her rersearch profile and research proposal to investigate the bright and dark side of performance feedback.

Research interests

Emma's research interest include management topics such as performance management, leadership, and leader-employee relationships, with a specific interest in performance feedback. Her work has appeared in and is aimed at top management journals.
