Fazila Yousuf is a skilled Applied Entomologist specializing in the use of biological controls for managing pests significant to horticulture. With hands-on expertise in utilizing parasitoids and entomopathogens, such as fungi and nematodes, she provides innovative and environmentally friendly pest management solutions. Her experience extends to developing non-chemical Integrated Pest Management (IPM) techniques, with a notable focus on pheromone attract and kill traps. Combining scientific rigour with practical applications, Fazila offers effective, sustainable solutions for pest management challenges in the horticulture industry.

At present, she is engrossed in developing an IPM toolkit for a significant honeybee pest, Varroa destructor, commonly known as varroa mites.
